privacy policy

effective September 30, 2026 · how information is used when you use comp.trade.

information we collect

comp processes sign-in identifiers supplied by your authentication method, such as email addresses, wallet addresses and linked social-account information; your username, profile and preferences; and account-security and policy-acceptance records.

We store game participation, simulated trades, results, progression, deposits, withdrawals, fees, ledger adjustments, linked wallets and payment-provider references. Technical records may include IP addresses, timestamps, session identifiers, connection events, device/browser information and error logs. Information you send to support is also used to handle your request.

how we use information

We use information to authenticate you, operate games, display results, maintain accurate balances, process payments, investigate missing transfers, prevent fraud and collusion, enforce exclusions and restrictions, maintain security, and resolve disputes. We also use operational records to diagnose errors and improve reliability.

Where a legal basis is required, these purposes may rely on performing our agreement with you, legitimate interests in running a secure and fair service, compliance with applicable legal obligations, or consent where required. We do not treat acceptance of these terms as blanket consent to every possible use of your data.

public information and blockchain records

Your username, chosen profile information, rankings, game results and activity shown in public games or spectator views can be visible to other people. Your account balance and private account ledger are not public profile fields.

Blockchain addresses, amounts and transaction records are public on their respective networks and may be linked with other public information. A private deposit option does not make your platform account or all transaction records anonymous. We cannot delete or alter records on public blockchains.

providers and disclosures

We use Privy for authentication and wallet services; Railway and Supabase for hosting and database infrastructure; blockchain RPC services, including Alchemy, to verify and submit network activity; and Relay or Husher when you choose their payment routes. These providers receive information needed for their role and may process it under their own privacy policies. Telegram is used for operational alerts, which may contain account or transaction references needed to investigate a problem.

We may disclose relevant records when legally required, to protect users and the service, to investigate fraud or security incidents, or to professional advisers bound by appropriate confidentiality obligations. A change of ownership may involve transferring service records, subject to applicable law and notice requirements.

browser storage and security

The site and its authentication providers use browser storage and similar technologies for sessions, security, preferences and essential product state. Clearing storage may sign you out or remove local preferences. Sensitive account actions may require fresh authentication.

We use access controls and operational safeguards to protect information, but no online service, device or network is perfectly secure. Keep your sign-in methods safe. We will never ask you to send a wallet recovery phrase or private key to support.

retention and account closure

We retain information for operating your account and for relevant security, accounting, dispute-resolution and legal purposes. Retention depends on the type of record and its purpose; we do not promise immediate deletion of all records when an account closes.

The account-closure flow removes or anonymizes profile and sign-in information as described there. Financial and game records, payment addresses and references needed to account for funds or investigate transfers can remain. Backups may retain earlier records until their retention period ends. Public blockchain records remain public.

your choices and rights

You can edit supported profile fields, manage linked wallets, self-exclude and request account closure in account settings. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing of, or obtain a copy of your information, and to complain to a relevant regulator.

Use the support link on this site for privacy requests. We may need to verify account ownership before responding and may retain records where permitted or required. Providers may process information in countries other than yours; applicable protections and transfer requirements depend on the service and location.

adults only and policy updates

The service is intended for adults who meet its eligibility requirements. If you believe a minor has supplied account information, report it through support so it can be investigated.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date appears above; material changes will be notified as required. This policy describes our practices and does not reduce your rights under applicable law.
